UPDATE

Finally.

So after this whole birthday weekend, I finally manage to write, what I bought and did.
Since my skintone is pretty light, KIKO didn't have the BB-cream I wanted, BUT (and great thanks to the girls there) they provided me with a free makeover and I decided to buy the green skintone corrector, which really does wonders on my skin. I'm waiting for the shop to get my BB-cream, otherwise I'll buy the foundation, powder and everything else that nice young woman used on me.
Since saturday I did the shopping, plus it was my birthday, sunday I had everything ready for mum's birthday.
I made her an Oscar out of modelling chocolate and golden luster dust, we gifted her perfume and flowers and we had a nice day out eating cake.

Tomorrow I will buy the BB-cream from Kiko. I wonder if they have a good shade for me.
Ohh and I'm quite happy to say, that once I started seeing Daan, I instantly felt better. He's a very busy guy, but he's really lovable c;

BB-creams

Along while ago I saw people review BB-creams. As it was then, they haven't been THAT popular among germans here. I know Asians use them alot and love the feel.
So what's a BB-cream? It is moisturizer, foundation, concealer and sunblock. Which makes it perfect for people to use it on a regular basis.
I will try Kiko's BB-cream this months, since I wanted a cheap alternative to the MAC product, which also comes close to my pale skintone.
I hope it works c;

Update.

So in the end it didn't work.. I guess I should go back to taking a long time to trust someone..
I'll just concentrate on drawing and calming down.

Once upon a time..

If you love fairytales and all sorts of fantasy stories, the series "Once upon a time" is something you should watch. I am currently nearly finished and I can say, it is simply amazing. The detail and interlocking storyline plus a good part of evil/bad influence makes it worth watching.

Cocktail night

YAY, I'm gonna go to my friend's and we plus some other friends will make cocktails. So excited, but since I go by bike, I just bought non-alcoholic ingredients c;

Do you know..

Do you know this feeling, when everything seems alright, but suddenly your life gets turned upside down? Do you know how much I despise those days? How empty I feel, when something like that happens? It is not only on an emotional basis. It's mental pain. Like being trapped in a place you love - forever. You get bored, you want to break out, but there is nowhere to go. I have never studied mental or psychological cases, but I do realize, that I feel trapped. My mindset turns from adoration to hatred.
They say home is where the heart is, but what if my heart wasn't feeling home at all? The only solution is to find a home for my heart. I am happy I did find one. But if my heart and body stay disconnected for so long, damage might be inflicted. Conntecting those two is a great relief.
Walking my own path - is what I would like to proudly say soon. Currently I am too dependant. But I want to change. And I will.

Update.

Lately I felt a bit down, so I helped my bro go shopping and modeled a little diorama with him for a friend.
Doing things like that really relaxes me and listening to my new favorite song helps alot.

NEWS!!!

I am overly excited, that my boyfriend is visiting and he will stay here for over 2 weeks. *squeals like a girly girl* Sorry for that. So I plan to do alot of things, like show him the chocolate museum and my city. I really can't wait for him to arrive, to finally be able to kiss and hug him. I want to make it special and I am really bursting with ideas.

Helplessly lost to...

Hello, I am Alex, 23 years old and I am a cake-a-holic.
I think this opening phrase sums it up pretty well. My love for art became an obsession for cakes. I love making cakes, I love Tumblr-ing about them, talking to people about cake-ideas and watching cooking shows. To me, art is not only painting on a canvas. Art is expressing your creativity and you can do exactly that on every kind of canvas, from paper to walls to cakes.
How little your achievement be, it is still something to be proud of. The first time I worked with fondant, it turned out to be such a challenge, when in shows people worked so smoothly with it, but yes, it needs practise to handle something like that so easy.

Spanish

I decided to take up Spanish for the new semester... quite thrilled to see, if it works out for me.
Reading is easy, but spelling and writing will be difficult. Well, well, practise makes perfect.

Playing around.

So I was playing around with my Photoshop and here's the result... it makes me think of sweets.

She LOVED it. I'm so glad it turned out to have the right consistency.

Musicals.

In these modern days not many people still go to Musicals. To me they have always been fascinating.
The acting, the participants and the stage, when everything comes together, it seems to create a magic world.
I have seen quite alot musicals, but I do plan on seeing even more.

Moving.

Penelope. That is the name of a very lovely movie, I watched some time ago.
People say that movies are not real, but nevertheless they convey a message.
In this wonderful film, the message was pretty clear: love yourself like you are, accept who you are and never let anyone take that feeling from you.
It moved me, because like every person, I had a time when I used to let others drag me down. I learned my lesson and I got strong enough to accept myself with each and every flaw I have.

Ne place.

I was born in Romania, but lived nearly all my life in Germany. So where do I feel home? To give an honest answer: none of them is considered a real home to me. I love german and romanian music, food, the language and culture, but still I feel like a stranger to both countries. They say, home is where the heart is. And that's exacty how I feel. "Ne place" means "we like it". And that is exactly what I feel like. I am home where I like it.

Dogs.

I have always been afraid of dogs, not extremely, but I am cautious around them. Being sensitive to loud sounds, I didn't like them barking, but I have to admit, that some of them are adorable.
Today I was sitting in the bus and a girl about my age sat beside me with her little dog on her lap. His head was leaning on her left arm and suddenly he licked my elbow. I was startled and laughed at her, as she excused his behaviour. He was even cuter, when he sneezed. Dogs can be very interesting, even to me.

Books and more..

It's wonderful to have a book in your hand nowadays, when everything is so high-tech. The feel of every page on my fingers, reading it wherever I want. I read alot and momentarily very very many series at the same time.
But not only books, magazins, too. They refresh my memory about current happenings.
Reading can be so much fun, if you know, what to read.

If you are a fan of sarcasm and even a good bit of cynicism, then you will love it.

Addicting online shops.

I've been browsing through the internet for nice but not too expensive shoes and found these two pairs, that match my search pretty well:

This one is playfully elegant, like a Lita shoe.

This shoe has fascinated me with its sex-appeal.

I'm not sure if I will buy either one of them, but they do look so good, I just want to wear them right now.

Yes, I know, it is not yet the season for ice cream, but for me ice cream is essential throughout the year.
I adore chocolate-chip ice cream with vanilla flavour. Even in the coldest winter I sometimes eat delicious ice cream. You should try that too  ; ]

Karma.

People say, Karma is a b*tch. But thinking back at whatever you or anyone has done, did "she" actually condemn you out of the wrong reason? Everything you do for others will eventually get back at you, be it the good deeds or the bad things you did.
And Karma works both ways, because of somebody did something kind or hurtful to you, they will get it back.
Because, what goes around comes around.

Toys.

People are not toys to me, they are treasures... valuable friends and familymembers. I don't toss them around or use them like I want. That's not what I would want to be treated like, either.
It is said, that every life has a price, but I think that every person I know is priceless. They add life and joy to my life, as well as grief and sadness. But that is how relationships go. There are ups and downs, you just have to work your way through them.

Where I want to live...

... is mostly any English-speaking country (preferrably the UK or US ;]). Since I started learning English, I have loved this language so much, that I used to animate people around me to use it. Here in Germany you would think that many people use it, but when it comes down to that, you realize how ignorant people are.
Most of my experiences showed, that the germans I talked to either don't know any foreign language or a little English, which is just enough to express something they need.
Luckily there are some, that do enjoy a sophisticated English conversation. (YAY for those few)

Movies.

When people meet each other, they often ask about favorite things.
Movies are always part of those conversation. I have to say, that I have no "favorite movie", because too me there are many I like. The list could go on and on, but I will put on some of my favs here.

Going out.

What do you do, when you go out?
I usually like to go out with my girls... dancing, eating, drinking even, but nothing too excessive. Enjoying yourself with whatever the city has to offer.
In summer eating some ice cream, laying in the sun and watching the stars at night.
In winter getting together and cuddling under blankets telling each other news.
